Wuhu Iron Painting
Wuhu Iron Painting
Wuhu Iron Painting, originally named "Iron Flower", is a traditional handicraft unique to Wuhu City, Anhui Province. It originated in the Song Dynasty and formed an independent art school during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty. This technique takes low-carbon steel as raw material, combines traditional Chinese painting composition with Paper Cuttings and carving techniques, and makes landscapes, figures and other theme works through forging, welding and other processes, with distinct black and white three-dimensional effects. The existing works cover more than 200 varieties in five categories, including seat screens and murals, with the representative being the "Welcome Pine" displayed at the Great Hall of the People. 1 Members
