What are the characteristics of Huanglongshan Zhu Ni?
Huanglong Mountain has the rarest amount of red mud, distributed between the Huangshi block on the mountaintop and the Jia mud mine on the mountain, with a thickness of only a few centimeters. The wet mud is tender and smooth, and the burnt product has a relatively stable shape. The surface of the pot has no shiny oil. Zhuni is a symbiotic mineral of Zhaozhuang red clay, sandwiched in red clay blocks, appearing oily and muddy. Originally, it had a large stock and was used as a bonding clay for daily ceramics, wasting a huge amount. It is now very rare, and the finished product is crystal clear, bright red and translucent, very pleasing to the eye. Small coal kiln cinnabar is an intermediate material between Renshu small coal mine and clay mine, with scarce stock. With the closure of the small coal mine more than a decade ago, this cinnabar has completely ceased production. The cinnabar mineral is single, occasionally containing small yellow stone red particles. The finished clay material has a large shape, and the brightness of the pot surface is limited.
